I'll start.

Mine is the 1962 model 36 cheif that was given to me by my dad which in turn was given to him by my granddad. It has sooooo many miles on it that if the gun could talk-- we would be alot older and greyer when it finished fibing. It is not the most pretty, it is not the most rare, it is not the most expensive, but it IS priceless to me. I carry this lttle friend almost daily and so far it has never fired a shot in anger over it's 47 years and counting; it gives me comfort to have a family hand-me-down for my kids--if they want to and if they have that right come 18 years from now.

The m-36 is a great choice and I've always wanted one, but settled for a M-60.
I don't own any that I really treasure but a few that I really like.
I guess my Marlin 100, left me by my Dad would be on top.

not a S&W but , it's a .22 cal Springfield 87M
or also called a baby garand..

I'm lucky enough to have two of them, the upper one was purchased as a first year wedding anniversary gift by my grandmother for my grandfather some time back in the 40's
the second one is apart awaiting me to refinish the stock, it was picked up off an auction site

Winchester Model 190 .22 my Dad bought for me back in the 70's. My first gun.

This is a toss up between my Colt Woodsman, which belonged to my grandfather and my Ithaca Deerslayer 16 gauge, that belonged to my uncle.

I'll catch heck for it, but here goes:
G22M9-1.jpg

It's a 9 Major Open Race gun. Built on a Glock 22 frame for me by an extremely talented and generous friend. The comp is Titanium.

Shoots so fine that I have to focus on not wetting myself when I shoot it.

Without doubt as I posted elsewhere in this forum is my 1956 Colt Woodsman Match Target, companion of many hunting years.
Regards, Ray

too late to get a pic. but mine would have to be my mod 28 4 in. bought it at a gun shop in Newport RI when i was in the Navy. saw it under the counter and just started counting out money. still had the grips off it as he hadn't had a chance to finish cleaning it yet (just been traded in that morning). cool little shop she had a ceramic store on most of one side, he got a hallway sized room along the wall on the right. real mom and pop kinda place, reminded me of home in the middle of the city, all the way on the other side of the country. i'll find a replacement sooner or later.

Which is your favorite child?

Impossible to answer. I love them all the same.

I couldnt honestly answer that. I have many, maybe could weed out 20 or so, but still couldnt pick from the remainder. I think the one that would hurt me the most if I lost it would be a old octagon barrel winchester model 61 .22 LR. Thats because I learned to shoot with it, and my dad bought it in the 1930s. I had many family heirloom guns stolen about 5 years ago, and only a few heirlooms left!

Polar Boy, does that thing shoot laser beams or bullets!?!????!?

I'd love to say which of my guns I treasure the most, but as soon as I do, the better half would suggest I keep that one and that one only. Therefore, I treasure them all! I do like my Kimber 1911 an awful lot though

a tossup between my grandfather's Winchester 1897 first year gun that was purchased new by his father and the Arisaka that dad brought back from Okinawa.

My late fathers Mod 10 heavy barrel, I remember as a kid going into his dresser and looking at it, man I loved the look of that gun. That is the gun that got me started in collecting S&W's and about a month ago when I was visiting him he handed me that very gun, it will be the only one that will never leave me.

Two I don't even have anymore. Son-in-law #2 got the Marlin 65 my dad bought me for Christmas many years ago. Son-in-law #1 got the Ruger 22/45 I bought several years ago.
