I've got a S&W 1006 with 2 extra magazines and I'm looking for a suitable holster for it, and I got to wondering what the FBI issued to their agent's for it?
Anybody know?

I want to say Galco FLETCH, but I have no idea why. Probably because that what I bought for my 1006.

Here is my 1076

I know this is not the holster you are looking for.

This is an El Paso Saddlery design called the Street Combat.

If I remember correctly there were multiple ones that were used. Don Hume was one of them. Galco, Safariland, etc. The one I have is a Don Hume.

I have added two albums in the Pictures and Albums section with photos of FBI issue holsters for the 1076 and earlier revolvers.

Thanks for the pictures.

I purchased a used Safariland duty holster made for S&W 1006 that should do for the time being, it is black with a thumb break and once you holster the gun, you cannot get it out unless you know how. You have to pull backward on the gun before it will release and come out.

I remember right the FBI when with the 1076 - at least when I was with Spokane Sheriff's Dept we had to wait a long time to get ours because of the FBI order
