What kind of round

I was just so.. so certain that this was we old guys used to call a "fired" round.
Ah now, let's be technically correct here...A "fired" round could be still in flight...Whereas this one is obviously a "spent" round having exhausted its initial energy, and is now just the subject of internet nitpickers like you and me......Ben

It can't be "spent" till after it's "fired"!

I feel like there is a joke in there somewhere but it might get me another infraction, so I will leave it alone.

"...a bullet from a round..."

A round of ammunition is the same as a cartridge. I suppose you could call the brass or casing a "fired round" but the photo clearly shows just the bullet. Projectile if you prefer. :)

Is this the same or similar to the Hornady FTX, like the "Critical Defense" round etc? Green tip v. red tip??

I usually avoid flaunting my ignorance of modern technology, and a search on "zombie" on the Hornady web page was not very informative...

Yes, the Zombie is the same as the FTX but with a green material instead of red. The Box it comes in has Green printing. Strictly a "fad" loading that Honady made up a short run of. Some Collectors actively look for it.
