I was pretty much a Colt guy.
The Smith and Wessons felt a little blocky in my hand compared to the Colts. I had also bought a S&W 9mm for my wife and I had to have it worked on to perform and run cleanly. We also tried a S&W 342 Lady Smith or something with titanium for her and it didnt suit her due to recoil.
But I like the 44 Mag and I like to shoot it too. I thought I need to have , or try one S&W, especially a Model 29. I mean it is the 44 Mag.
When I saw the 29 I wanted last year I bought it and thought if it doesnt work out then I could always look to sell it and go for an Anaconda.
I gathered up some 44 ammo and went out and shot the 29. Holy cow this thing shoots. It shot nice in single action and well in double action. It didnt "feel" blocky anymore.
I then saw a Model 15. I said well let me give it a try. Wow is it ever accurate. It is nicely built too.
Then I said I wonder if I could sell a couple of Colts. They were gone fast. I started reading here some. Then I sold a couple of Colts. I had swallowed the hook.
I had not shot my revolvers too much, and some of the Colts not at all due to the rising prices.
Having and shooting the S&Ws re-introduced me to the fact that I truly like revolvers, and that I shoot them well too.
