What revolvers do you use as a CCW?

642, and a Ruger 9mm SP101. Would like to add a Titanium version in .357

I bought a Blue M10-5 snub a month ago, thinking that would be my CCW once my CHL comes in. But I decided the M10 will just be too heavy for pocket or IWB carry. So I have purchased two M37 snubs over the past couple of weeks. I think I'm really going to like them. One is a nickel round butt with factory service grips. The other is a Blue SB with faux pearl grips. I put a Pachmyar grip adapter on the RB, which my bride has selected for her CCW. I am happy with the SB.
I am going to drop in bobbed hammers on both of them.

1st ccw carry colt python 6" barrel 357mag.
2nd ccw carry ruger police service six 357mg 2 3/4" barrel
3rd ccw carry ruger SBH 44mg 7 1/2" barrel.
4th ccw carry colt 1911 45acp 5" barrel.
5th ccw carry ruger redhawk 44mg 7 1/2" barrel(wintertime)
6th ccw carry ruger redhawk 44mg 5 1/2" barrel(summertime)
7th ccw carry cz 82 9mm makarov.
8th ccw carry s&w m58 41mg.

I ccw the redhawks in shoulder holsters for decades.

Strong side pancake style holster
1. S&W model 13 3"
2. S&W model 38 2"
3 S&W model 37 3"

The M&P 340 is at my side IWB holster everyday. I find the 632 Pro a little heavy for everyday.

Here's what I like to carry my 340SC loaded with full tilt 357mag Hornady 158gr XTP's with some 296 win powder behind it.

CCW Wheelies

I use a 638 on duty as a back up. I also carry an Mod 60 in .357 off duty with Pach's. I'm issued full power 158 gr. magnums & she has some buck & snort!

Both have XS 'standard' tritium sights installed. The 60 is pinned but the 638 required a good gunsmith to mill the OEM front down. It was worth it though because the blade front sucks.

I'll post some pics later.

I prefer a 640 Pro in a Lobo enhanced Pancake and loaded with Buffalo Bore mid range 125gr JHP 357s.

This BB load is advertised at 1225 fps and it looks like a Hornady JHP. It shoots to POA and recovery time is very doable for SD with this load. I carry a spare 5 in a speedloader or 6 in a cartridge slide.

Right now I have a 4 in. 10-7 sitting on my hip and a Colt .25 in my pocket. I seldom carry the same gun more than 2 days in a row. My carry revolvers alternate between a Colt Detective Special, a Colt Three Fifty Seven 4in., a 2in. M&P, a 3in. M65, or a 4in. MKIV Webley. One day last week I carried a Colt New Service .45. The .25 Auto is a constant but the main gun varies with the mood, weather, alignment of the planets, last movie I watched etc.

My main off duty CCW duo is a 29-3 4 inch and an old LE trade in model 60. I carry the 29 in a simply rugged sourdough and the 60 I swap between an ankle holster and a pocket scabbard. I carry three speed loaders stoked with federal 240 gr. hydrashoks with me at all times and sometimes a couple speed strips as well. I normally don't carry a reload for the 60 unless I'm carrying it alone. That doesn't happen very often.
When I'm up in the mountains or out in the desert recreating I often carry one of my 500s. I'm kinda partial to my 6.5 and John Ross. I carry reloads in a a couple speed strips as well as cartridge belt carrier.

I usually have a 2" model 37 in a pocket or on my ankle. In heavy winter coats, I swap it out for a 21/2" model 19 in a coat pocket. In either case, the S&W is BUG to a P229 in .357Sig.

I was thinking about ankle holsters just a while ago. I'm not sure I get the concept. Yes, it's deep cover but is it practical?
Just how easy are you going to be able to retrieve that BUG in the heat of battle?

Me? My carry, when my CHL comes in, will be M37 snub. My BUG will be an NAA Mini Magnum. I can carry both pretty much anywhere.
