what rounds are you guys carrying in your 27 snubbies?

If I'm carrying one of my M27 shorties, I'm probably out in the country rather than in town. That bein' the case, it's most likely to be used on a coyote, skunk (the 4-legged kind), badger or some such critter. I prefer penetration first in those situations, so I usually carry a handload consisting of a 168 gr. Keith bullet over a large dose of 2400 in 38 Special cases. It isn't quite as hot as the original .357 Mag. load, but it's a good general purpose load and penetrates like nobody's business.

I also carry a couple of 38 shot cartridges in my pocket. The rattlers up there on Iggy's place are HUGE!

Another vote for the Federal 125 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point 357 Mag round. It's quite a thumper!

I carry Federal 125 Grain loads in all my .357s. I know I'm not supposed to in the K-Frames, but I don't shoot many of them in those, and I figger if I ever have to shoot somebody, I want to make an impression.
I'm carrying my 2 1/2" M66-1 and my M340PD right now.That's what's in both of 'em.
