What "should" I have done???

A while back I was having lunch in a sandwich shop. A couple of gentlemen in shirts and ties sat at a table near me. when one of them sat, his trouser leg came up and completly uncovered a Glock 26/27 in an ankle holster. I finished my sandwich watching him. He and his friend having lunch and enjoying conversation. He may have been a cop, I don't know and don't care. When I finished my sandwich I descretly told him that his Glock was showing, and he might want to pull down his pant leg to cover it. He thanked me and reached down to cover it. I went on my way.
I believe I would have done the same thing in your situation.

I did some checking and KKG and 310 Pilot are correct. I stopped an talked to a lovely lady LEO this afternoon and described what happened seeking her opinion. She said that under the open carry laws the guy was legal. That being the case minding my own business proved to be the right thing.

She agreed that his situational awareness could use some work as people were definitely freaking out and I'm sure store security might have had a question or two for him as well but the bottom line is he was legal and I am glad I said nothing. You rarely see open carry here in the urban Tucson area and as we have lots of folks from other parts of the country where open carry is unheard of so I can understand their reactions.

Perhaps my instructor got it wrong but it far more likely that I was the one who misunderstood. For good measure I just finished rereading the class text: Legal Issues Relating to the Use of Deadly Force by Michael P. Anthony. Figured a little review couldn't hurt. (o;
