Someone in another thread mentioned Mrs. Canfield-Mrs. Rayburn--which are from Leave it To Beaver. That got me thinking. I was wondering what TV show you like to watch, should be ashamed to admit to--but are not and dont care what someone else may think.

Well, mine is: Leave It To Beaver. As a matter of fact, last week I picked up season 1 & 2 on DvD.

To me, this was the funniest episode of the series--where the Beav was stuck i a cafe's soup bowl signage:

When Gilligan's Island......

When Gilligan's Island comes on I say to myself, "I don't want to watch this silly program." but if I don't turn the channel right away I end up watching and usually laughing. It seems funnier to me now than it did back in the 60's. Probably because good clean fun wasn't such a rarity back then as it is now.

Heh heh, a couple months ago--I picked up all three seasons of that show too. I need to get Dobie Gillis and McHales Navy.

This is hard for me to explain. I loved watching McHale's Navy and it was funny, but some episodes seemed 'dark' to me and not just because it was wartime. Probably different writers filled in or something.

WWE, The Simpsons, Gilligan's island, Mounten monsters, and yes Leave it to beaver. Although I have to admit I liked Eddie Haskell better then the Beav.

Mine is "Trailer Park Boys", a Canadian series

I watched "Leave it to Beaver" when it was on network TV back in the late 50s and early 60s...I've never seen it on any channel we get now. Recently, one of the channels we get started playing "Gilligan's Island" but I've only watched one episode...seems kind of silly now.

When it comes to old shows, I like watching "Andy Griffith" and "I Love Lucy." I have rarely seen it come on, but I really like "The Dick Van Dyke Show." Same for "Green Acres" and "The Bob Newhart Show" (the first series.) Somewhat newer and frequently on are "Frasier", "Friends", and "Cheers."

I don't watch much network TV now...there doesn't seem to be much worth watching on anymore. I will confess to watching "Dancing With The Stars" (which is as much of pretty women dancing in skimpy attire that my wife will allow.)

My favorite current show is "Sons of Anarchy" which is decidedly not general family fare...I don't see how they can top last season, but I'll be watching to find out!

I did like Red Green Show on PBS. But today, it has to be the Amish Mafia. I though the Amish were folks who plowed with horses and didn't have electricity. I used to see them up in the Midwest but never had that much interaction with them.
I never knew they were involved in criminal activity and all that scheming.

The 'off color' shows....

I admit that I like the 'off color' shows like Southpark, Family Guy'.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention one show that I can at least sit through sometimes..... "Lost in Space". It started as a good Sci Fi show that jumped the shark early but persisted for years. If you've seen the carrot-man, the space hippies, the space vikings (Brynhilda and Thor) I can just imagine 'serious' actors like Guy West and June Lockhart offstage laughing their heads off at the stuff they had to perform to get a paycheck.:D

Haven't you kept up with the story about the Amish guy (Samuel Mullet) that said other Amish people weren't living right, so he told his sons to go around and cut other men's beards off? To the Amish, that is an awful thing to do, besides being physical assault. Usually the Amish handle squabbles themselves, but the court system had to get involved and they ended up in jail?? The Amish have a real underworld ring going.
