What Type Of Grip Are You Using? Rubber? Wood, etc:

Right now I am putting honest miles on a 80's 25-2- I took the coke bottle original grips off it and put some no bark Elk horn magna's on it I think they are Grashorn's? Got them used off of another gun forum. The guy that had them was not sure. I like the fact that its EZ to get to the strain screw with magna's.

Surprised at how nice they are- pretty & dense very little pith mottled white ivory or even pearl looking.

Was not to impressed with Elk horn for grips before I have a set of 1911 Elks that are pithy and light feeling.

May talk to Grashorns about getting a set made up for a 21-4 round to square conversion if possible.

I'm using a Barami Clip Grip on my S&W638. The Barami is very slick so I covered it with a piece of bicycle inner tube. It works well.

I'm a "traditionalist" I like the way the origanal wood magnas and targets look and feel.

Back in the 70's I never did like seeing shackeld up Camaro's, Mustangs or GTO with 50's on the back eather!!

Wood; C Spegel Boot grips on my concealed carry revolvers, Hogue on autos.

Pachmayr Compacts or Professional Compact on my magnums if shooting a lot or woods carry.................

Stag on my .22s....... Model 17s and 18's

G-10 on a number of autos (VZ thin grips)

Tried everything and the new type S&W rubber just works the best.

No, I've never used Pro Grip. Maybe I should order some.
