What was your first?.

Ruger Security Six SS .357 mag. 4". It was later stolen but I remember it being the most accurate handgun I've ever owned.
That might be because I shot it so much, I don't know.

The first one i shot.
Dad's Star F .22lr

First one i owned my self. (still have)
S&W model 17 .22lr

First was a .357mag. In 1981 I got a 6" Stainless Ruger Security Six. It's long gone, but I replaced it with a 4" stainless.

My first handgun was a Stoeger Luger .22.
My 2nd handgun and first revolver was an early Model 14 Dan Wesson .357.
My 3rd handgun, and first S&W was a 25-2 in .45acp, and I still have it.

.22 LR, L, short, or shotshell in a High Standard Sentinel, 4" barrel.
Got it about 14 y.o. or so, living in a state that is now extremely antigun!
Worked well while cruising in the ponds and swamps, fishing, and assorted other activities by myself.
Dad did mention that 2 legged critters could be more trouble than 4 legged or things that slithered, so keep that in mind, about your surroundings!
Wish I still had it. Think the lure of a K22 got to me !

A used heavy barrel 4" Model 10...................Soon traded on a set of Dan Wessons 6" w/ half lugged barrels in .22lr and .357. Figured I could get shorter barrels for each..... seemed like a good idea at the time............:D

The 6" .357 lasted about a year ....... was traded for a 4" 19.

The 6" .22 lasted a lot longer...........................

My first was a Ruger New Model Blackhawk 6" barrel, 357 magnum
My second was a S&W Model#37 38 special with the 3" barrel
I still have both of them! ;)

What was your first handgun caliber?

Mine was a 357 magnum.

me too.............S&W model 686-4PP, product code 104272...........

First handgun I shot- My grandfathers K-38 in .38 Special. I put a lot of rds through that sucker in my youth.

First purchase- a 9mm Model 915.

I haven't been at this that long, my first was a Springfield GI repro. Most exciting gun purchase I've ever made, still have it.

Put the idiot scratch on it the day I got it, didn't know better at the time.

First shooting was my dads S&W 38 snub.
First handgun fresh outta the Corps, Colt Combat Commander 9mm. Wanted to be different in 1973.

Mine was the 38 S&W Special, this 1967 model 15-2. Been reblued a couple times and Duracoated once It didnt come from the factory with the red ramp insert, the stocks in the picture, or the W/O rear sight blade. But I love it dearly.
