What did you make for lunch? Reservations or a left turn into the drive-thru are not acceptable answers. A PB&J qualifies.
Today I had frozen french fries and "I'd better cook this" steak. Thin cut NY strip. Still have a couple. Probably cook them tonight for sandwiches tomorrow. Sorry, no pictures. I had a knife in one hand and a fork in the other. What do you want me to do?:D:D:D

I put some sliced baloney and sliced ham and sliced salami and sliced olives on top of a bed of lettuce and topped it with some tomatoes, salad dressing and cheese. I couldn't find the crouton package. I ended it with a glass of milk and a chocolate pudding.

That was noon while I watched the Faulkner Focus. Now, 4 hours later I'm drinking massive quantities of beer.

The terms breakfast, lunch and dinner have no meaning for me.

When I woke up I had a homemade egg Mc Muffin and coffee. Few hours later it was homemade onion dip and chips with a Corona. Not longer after that it was a Johnsonville sausage on a steak roll with onions and peppers accompanied by another beer. Early evening produced some sliced pepperoni and club crackers washed down with another beer. A snack before bedtime might be some boxed wine with cheese/crackers.

It's not really a lot of food being eaten but rather just enough each time to take the edge off while allowing me to do things in between like taking a nap. :)

Yesterday I found in the back of the freezer a package of bite sized beef chunks that I had forgotten about. In a few hours I'll be starting a big batch of beef stroganoff made with fresh mushrooms and sour cream. I've modified the recipe and add a package of frozen peas to the sauce a few minutes before serving It will be served over fresh made egg noodles.

I try my best not to eat lunch - been fighting the "battle of the bulge" lately. I need to loose about 20 pounds and I eat more than enough at breakfast and dinner.

On the rare occasion I cave, I'll eat an apple or orange with a piece of cheese. All this said, once every week I always seem to completely go to hell and find myself at a great Chinese rest. we frequent in town. That is usually on Friday which is also my Range day and there are 3 others with me. When they twist my arm, they need not twist too far - LOL!

I've got a store that makes great green onion sausage. Lately I've been smoking it in three pound batches with pecan and then stretching it out for lunch over the week. Microwave to heat slice it lengthwise so it fits into a tortilla (I'm using Mission whole wheat low carb ones) and eat one piece with two tortillias for lunch ( I have the luxury of going home for lunch). I find that waating a high protien/fat lunch rather than a salad will keep me full and I eat a lighter dinner. It's working...slow but working. Am down 70 pounds from my highest weight. Keep it below 2000 calories and watch the refined carbs like a hawk for those sugar spikes and I feel better than I've felt in years. I'd loose faster but I refuse to give up my evening scotch out in the back yard.
