Howdy,

Whats she worth, hard to tell in this up n' down auction, flea market, gun show world!?!?!

So ill take to my favorite forum gentlemen.

I ask you what should she fetch in any situation?
I know what I paid, but will not disclose it

Don't worry you won't hurt my feelings :D

She's in fantastic shape long dead Night Sights 2 mags box and end label I don't "percent" guns as thats silly, gun Is a fine shooters grade gun...

Should I put it away for 20years or sell it/trade it?

Thanks
Erik

Thats one of the 19 LAPD guns. Pre PC 45CQB. CALREB or 03Fatboy would have a good idea of what one is worth.

My guess would be around $1750 to $2K. Depending on the buyer, box, docs, extra mags ect.

Nice gun! :) Regards 18DAI

You’re kidding right? Shooter grade gun?

Never mind but I was expecting to see a well used example. 6-7 years ago I was bidding on a very used, actual shooter grade one. It went for over $1,200 and of course my top bid was much below that.

I did finally find/get one after years of searching. It’s in great shape with everything and it wasn’t that much more than the very used one I mentioned.

I guess what its worth is whatever someone will pay for it. So lets see, if people on GB (the big listers) put words like ultra rare only 2500 made , and super exclusive less than 500 made, to drive the price up, and it works. So from a collector or investers view , whats a desirable, collectable pistol, from a major company, S/W, Colt etc, over 20 years old, in excellent condition and only 22 were ever and will ever be made. These guns were made before CQBs, they are P/C 4566s, same as 6906 compacts are not 9 RECONS.. Except instead of 250 of these being made there are 22. Some months ago I saw a big deal about a 952 that they only made 20 or so in that color scheme, so it was ultra rare and went for big bucks.
Also the fact that these guns will shoot as well, maybe better than any other custom 4.25" .45 cal out there at whatever price. That alone should hold some price, Wilsons running north of 3 grand. And they have no collector value, anyone can order as many as they want. Personally I like the S/W fire controls way better than a 1911 for a carry gun . In my opinion that alone should set the price at 3000-3500. Then add the collectability aspect to it, and go from there.
In todays market whats it REALLY worth , who knows, when chopped up Glocks are selling for over 8000, because someone used one like it in a movie, how do you figure it out. It still boils down to how bad does some one want to sell it and how bad does some one want to buy it. I guess when we see one put up for auction, with some good prompting, and the final bids we will know..

Erocksmash, Don't know if you should sell or trade, but I'll share my 2¢ worth. I bought my two regular CQBs new a long time ago. Some years ago, I sold my LNIB, all stainless CQB for $1700.00. If your pre CQB version were mine, I would definitely want somewhere North of $2500.00 for it. On the big auction site, yours might go for WAY North of $2500.00...

My gut said $1600 when I saw the picture. Beautiful pistol.

Don't really know I'm partial to .45 target guns, I have the other black and all stainless CQB so I'm un sure about this one.... if I do sail it forum will have first dips, I may vacuum pack it and put it away for 20years...

That’s a beautiful pistol. Interesting that S&W marked it as a 4566…going off of their own numbering system that gun should have been a 4567 variant.

I could be wrong here but if I recall correctly, the 4567 has a carbon steel blue slide and this PC4566 has a stainless steel slide that has the melonite treatment. Frame is also stainless steel.
