I have a very good S&W 1066 that i purchased used several years ago when I was single and childless. Those two conditions have been corrected for over 15 years now. Well, it's been sitting in a closet for the better part of 10 years now and it's probably time for someone else to enjoy it but I have heard different stories of what it might be worth. It's in very good but not mint condition, no box, two mags, and Bianchi Thumbsnap style leather to go along with it. Great shooter. Anyone have an idea of what I should be asking for it.

Look on the auction sites. 600.00 + IMHO.

Location would also make a difference. What state are you in?

A good number of folks are big fans of the 10mm. I agree with 600 + for the pistol and the accessories that you have. Best of luck.

I've looked but there don't seem to be many out there. There are a couple of threads deep in teh bowles of this place but they are several years old.

The 1006 with the proper box, tools, chamber plug and paperwork would fetch more from someone wanting to collect them, however adding in the magazines & the holster add to the value of the package.

A fair price would be about $680 to $720...keep in mind FTF sales are different from internet sales where postal charges for shipping and transfere fees all add up on the final expenses or cost for both parties!

I hate to see guys sell their 10's only to reget it later, Best regards and good luck!

I'm interested if you're still wanting to sell it. I sold mine when my kids were young and bills right, have been looking to replace it recently.

Agree with the prices folks have quoted, clean 1066s are hard to come by (at least in my neighborhood)

Thank all of you for your answers. Thanks to this forum I was able to make a FTF sale to another member that I believe was fair on both sides.

I usually see them for $650+ around here, which is not very often.

I got mine for less than $600, but it was a right place/right time situation.
