What's the Deal on the M&P 22 Mags?

Is anyone else having problems in finding additional mags. for the M&P 22? I live in the Austin, TX area, and no one around here has any. I finally placed an order for one with S&W online, and I got a card today saying it's backordered. Is it just me, or are other folks finding this to be a problem? Could it be that the problem is that the gun is made in Germany by Walthers?

Not here. We've had them for quite awhile now. Last April/May ??

I got some last week when I picked my gun up at the LGS. Going tomorrow to break it in. I'll see if they have more.

I ordered one from S&W took about 7 weeks to get it. Found some at LGS day after the one from S&W arrived.....go figure!

Ya 44 Mag.com is very fast in getting the M&P 22 mags out .. I had mine in 2 days with reg. mail! Really good feeling when they arived so fast.. I'll give this place ***** stars! George

I bought my M&P22 about 6 weeks ago, and ordered 2 mags direct from S&W right away. I also received the backorder postcard, and mine took about 3 weeks total to arrive.

Ordered 3 last week from G&R Tactical, had them in 4 days. I think that's pretty great service

I sent a 22 mag back to s&w in july and have not got it back yet.talk to them a few weeks ago they said sometime in november.
Glad i didnt have other problems with this gun other than a bad mag.
Its a new gun i understand a wait but come on 5 mo. Ok i guess it is what it is. I will he calling them again this week.
