What's the most Beautiful Revolver?

That would be a 586 with a 4" barrel.

And here all these years I THOUGHT YOU WERE an N Frame ?
( a closet I FRAME luster...)

I hate to say it on the S&W forum, but, to me, the Python is the most beautiful revolver. Especially the 2 1/2" AND 4" Pythons.

Not far behind, you've gotta love the M19 and a 4" M29 Smith. The Colt SAA is no slouch either... ;)

So many great looking revolvers, and hey, aren't they suppose to be like kids; you don't pick favorites...?

There sure are some beautiful revolvers posted. To me the M 19 with a 6in barrel and target grips is as close to perfect as can be. Great balance visually combined with exquisite old S&W blueing.

I think the best looking revolver is a 4 3/4 inch Nickel Colt SAA. They always looked sort of art-deco like to me and reminded me of the streamliner locomotives. Next would be a 6" Python and then a 4" N-Frame.

Anything with nice case colors, like this USFA SAA in 44 spl.

Being a S&W fan my entire life I still say the Colt Python was and is the best looking and smoothist (out of the box) revolver I ever had or wished I had.....It is criminal that Colt had made them obsolete..That out of the box Colt Blue was something else......Pretty as a spotted pup under a porch in a rain storm!!!!

Most beautiful I ever owned--my son has it now--was a pristine, unfired 1970 Model 15-8 bought from an estate about ten years ago. Wonderful bluing by postwar standards, and not a spot on it. Had a master gunsmith give it the most amazing trigger I've ever experienced on a handgun (including the few Pythons I've handled), so it was functionally as well as visually gorgeous.
