Shopping for a Model 66 with a 6" barrel, either a no-dash or a dash 1 (so pinned and recessed) but want to go in knowing what the right price is for a no-box 95% to 98% example. Would appreciate any advice you guys can provide.

I don't know either, but I sure would like a 4" Mod 66-1 myself! I'm hearing prices all over the place, but that's true of all pre-1980 S&Ws.

I took a quick look at some of the ended auctions on GB and the revolver you are looking for is selling for between $750-900.

Reminds me of Montgomery Wards when the 6" first came out. They got a bunch of them
I got a bit greedy and bought two. After my wait, I picked them up thinking I would make a killing on them. This was in San Diego, CA.
A couple days later, the ATF showed up at my home and asked me if I was selling to Mexicans across the border. Seems that two hand guns the same day, puts you on their watch list. They advised me to get an FFL which me and my BIL did. Yes, I sold them both and made a handsome profit. Those Wards guns didn't last a week. Big Larry

Now, preface this by remembering we've had a panic uptick in pricing (and subsequent slight drop afterward) since then so I expect they're higher now, but I paid $455 in January 2020 for this M66-5:

I got a 66-2 6" in excellent condition for $825. at a gun show on 12-2-23 and I think that was a fair price.
