What’s the Saddest Song You Ever Heard?

"If You're Reading This" Tim McGraw. My son was in Iraq at the time, I couldn't listen to it. Still tough.

I heard that if you play a sad country song backwards, his girlfriend comes back, he wins the fight in the bar parking lot, his dog wasn't hit by a truck, he discovers he doesn't like beer and never gets drunk and his best friend pays him back all of the money which was borrowed!

There's a couple :
You're the reason God made Oklahoma
Rest your love on me
And for some strange reason :
Ballad of the Green Berets

Tom Waits is an acquired taste, but this one gets to me...

Sad songs are good for our soul, it keeps us on track, makes us think what's really important in life and don't sweat the little things. Welcome to reality it's like losing your first love. I'm sure many of us will read into a sad song in different ways.

Send in the clowns, don't bother there here........or hello darkness my old friend, I come to talk with you again.

When my first love dumped me she said when she heard the Everly Brothers "Cathy's Clown" she thought of me. Cute huh?

Sam Cook's "Only 16" reminds me of her.

The rendition of Nini Rosso's Il Silenzio from the end of American Sniper
makes my cry like a 3rd grade school girl... :(
