EDC is a Kershaw assisted opening folder. Our daughter gave it to me engraved on her wedding day. I have other blades for special uses but that's my EDC.

Does it work as an actual neck knife?
I carry it around my neck as part of my EDC setup just the way it's pictured, mini Olight and all. No "printing" on me where it hangs.

Benchmade mini crooked river, rides in the knife pocket of my work jeans.
My EDC revolver is this 642-1, shown with my EDC knife, which is a very
sharp Piranha.
Occasionally I will carry my model 10 2" with the Grasshorns, the kinda
matching knife is my Puma Prince. The holster is by Ken Null.
Once in a Blue Moon I might carry my Colt's Gold Cup, with the
matching Ultimate 1911 knife. The holster is a Heiser 728. The
belt by Texas Gunslinger.

I carry an old flea market Schrade. It was rusty and pitted when I got it. I cleaned up and blued the blade when I was working on a model 10.
I really like knives but struggle to put a nice edge on them. This one gets a pass on the bench grinder whenever it dulls.

I carry an old Camillus Marlin Spike during the time of year that finds me untying knots to change flags on veterans' graves. Otherwise, it's a Buck 110 or any of several Cases, Tree Brands, German Eyes, or Queen Cutlery blades. I live in an area where a stick of red cedar and a whittling edge are mandatory equipment for any male over 50 years of age.

A folder, or two, with a blade typically 3"-3.5" and usually a Spyderco.
Here are a couple of recent acquisitions I am incorporating for a while in place of the Okapi. On the right is a rosewood lambsfoot, by A. Wright. On the left, an Ohta friction folder in desert ironwood. It just came the other day, so I haven't carried it yet.

Here's mine:
(right) CRKT M-16-13ZE rescue knife. It features a half plain, half serrated blade, and a glass breaker as well as a HUGE flipper that serves as a blade opener and seat belt cutter. This knife is no longer in production but can still be found fairly easily. The blade is easy to sharpen and keeps an edge for a long time.
(left): Victoronix Swiss Army knife - this is a limited edition knife with scales (handles) representing the flag of the Great State of Texas. This is an excellent representation of what we in Texas commonly refer to as a "church knife" - a small knife that won't make huge bulges (and holes) in your nice Sunday church pants. I like to attach a Nano Streamlight to mine to add a bit of bulk to it so it doesn't seem to get washed as many times in the washing machine than without it.
(top): Streamlight Stylus Pro penlight (yes, I know it isn't a knife). I can't believe how useful and handy this light is, and how often I use it along with my EDC blades.

I carry two knives. First is a Victorionox Spartan Lite Swiss Army Knife. Not a day goes by where I dont use it for something, usually opening a beer! But while it's fine for opening packages etc, it's not a significant blade and while easy to sharpen, doesnt hold an edge well. I also carry a Spyderco PM2, with a S30V blade and a MXG deep carry clip.
I just got a Leek myself. I like it so far, we'll see if I continue to carry it.
I do like light thin sharp knives for EDC.
I also would like to try the Boker Kalashnikov sub auto with the 1.95" blade but it's almost impossible to figure out if it's legal to carry in Virginia.
The knife laws are quite confusing.

Buck 110 and older model Leatherman in holsters. The Buck is most often used for cutting fruit or sandwiches, the back of the Leatherman blade for opening envelopes.
Depends on what pants I pull on, most of them wil already have a clip knife in the front pocket...Benchmade, Spyderco, CRT, Kershaw...I have zero brand loyalty when it comes to knives, as long as they hold an edge.

For the last several years it has been this Zero Tolerance 0350 tiger stripe that has seen some abuse but keeps on working. Every time i think hey i should buy myself a nice shiny new knife i always wind up telling myself this one's been great so why change.
Yeah it is a bit bulky and is hard on pockets. I sharpen it from time to time, maybe some day i will have it properly sharpened.

The top three are what I carry at work every night.
1. Gerber Multitool that I've had for 20(ish) years
2. Buck 110 that I've had for 25(ish) years
3. Benchmade 710 given to me by a friend last year. if I understand correctly the 710 was the first axis lock knife Benchmade produced.
The bottom one is a Buck 110 Slimline that I bought last year. It's an updated version of the 110. It has ambidextrous one handed opening and an ambidextrous clip so it can be carried on either side. I think I paid 30 dollars for it and it's well worth the price.
I carry it and the Multitool when I'm not at work.
