What's your favorite 38 spl with adjustable sights

+1 on that. Here's mine:

Hard to beat a good Model 67.....Lots of them out there at fair prices since most folks want the .357 Model 66s.

I seldom shoot mine anymore, since I have gone to Red Dot sights but the K-38 will always remain "the best" in my eyes. Here is my old PPC gun with self installed rib;

As far as I am concerned, they don't come better in .38 Special than a K-38.

I'm going to chime in with the others that like the K 38/ M 14 with 6" barrel. It has a great heft to it and is more accurate for me than shorter barrel .38's.

favorite shooting 38

Hard to beat any model 14, I think my favorite is the 4" 14-6's, the 6" model is fun and accurate but at 25 yrds and in , the 4" shoots the same and just balances so nice . Bob

I really like my 2 1/2 inch Colt Diamondback. Will this cause me to loose my membership on this forum? The gun is at the top in the picture.

As many others have posed - K38/Model 14. My Model 14-3 is excellent at 15 yards off-hand.

I Agree

If it's a target revolver and maybe doing duty as a home defense weapon it would be hard th beat the K38/ Model 14 revolver with 6 inch barrel. If you want a 4 inch barrel I would go with a Model 15 or Model 67 with the latter being stainless.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Precisely.

I also like the Model 67,
SS finish makes for easy maintenance and you dont have to worry about blueing wear from holstering.

Those 4" 14-6's are sweeeet, been looking for one for a long time to go with my 4" 17-6 and 16-4.

The only .38 Spl only revolver I own that has adj sights is my 15-2 with 2" barrel and non factory round butt. It is my most favorite revolver and is so nice to shoot. This was my only hand gun for many years in the mid 80's and I used it for everything from CC to woods bumming to target practice.

Any K-38 Masterpiece is a fine target gun, but I usually get best results with either a prewar or postwar transitional .38/44 Outdoorsman. I guess that means the mass of the larger gun helps my accuracy more than the large postwar sights of the K-38 alone. (I'm not very good with the prewar M&P target revolvers; the mid-size frame and small target sights just aren't a good combination for me.)

I think this one counts as my favorite target .38 at the moment. Postwar transitional Outdoorsman with King Reflector front sight and white outline rear.
