Whats your favorite firearm you own?

I spend 10X more time with this one than all the others put together. If they were wives, this be the favorite. Joe

My Pardini SP with UltraDot. It just shoots more better than I do. It's also the easiest target pistol to take apart (one allen screw under the muzzle). I am also very found of my Beretta 686 single barrel trap gun.

If it is not a gun it would have to be my 2002 Tetsuo Matsuda Violin with one of my two bows: a David Samuels, or a Pierre-Yves Fuchs. All are multiple Violin Society of America Gold Medal winners. The Matsuda is the match of many much more expensive violins I have played including a $675,000.00 Nicolo Amati. The Amati was sublime however, Imagine playing an instrument made 10 years before J.S. Bach was born.

My favorite has to be this factory engraved Colt 1851 Navy carried by Union Army Captain John Lowry during the Civil War. This gun was part of American history. This gun saw things that we can only dream of. This gun will remain with me until the day I die, which hopefully will not be anytime soon.

It was his duty piece and passed on to me, my kids next.

Except for Dad's Police positive made in 1917(will never sell) it would be my Remington Model 121A Fieldmaster that I bought in 1950 and paid out at five dollars a month. It has been on many a squirrel hunt and still is in excellent condition.
 
I have many guns, but I would have to say my "favorite" would be one of my M1 Garand rifles.

I was in the USAR 1958-1962. The M1 is what I went through basic training with. Yes, some may be better, but it has got to be my favorite.
 
I have a couple stashed. But today...

This old SA revolver get's the nod...

Early-to-Mid 1970's U.S. Arms Corporation "Abilene" It has an unusual 8.5" barrel. Chambered in .44 Magnum. It's as tight as a Freedom with the deep ocean blue of a Colt. It will handle any "Ruger Load" and I'll have to admit...It's a keeper!

My Beretta Xtrema II for duck hunting, Beretta DT10 for SC, Tikka T3 Lite .270 wsm rifle & Colt Anaconda .44 mag for deer hunting and my collection of S&W's.
 
The Royal Blue Colt Python my wife gave me on my birthday after becoming a police officer.
 
My brand new Red Ryder BB gun. I can shoot it in the house and recycle the ammo.

As cold as it has been here and with the price of ammo, that ain't all bad.


For EDC, Model 19 21/2"
For a sentimental favorite, I would have to say my old Model 58. We've seen the elephant together.
For Purty, I would have to say my 6" blue Model 19
For practical fun, I would choose my Model 17.

Rifle? My version of the Springfield Trapdoor Officer's Model.

favorite firearm

Mine would be one of my 39-2 S&W, Browning Superposed (Diana grade)12 ga,(until stolen from me in 1980) or an unfired,P-08 Mauser banner 9mm Luger that a friend picked up in France in a bunker. Favorite rifle, a custom .270 stocked by Byrd Pearson in fancy grade English Walnut and barrel by Bliss Titus,a very good friend(now deceased)
 
I guess if the one you shoot and enjoy the most is the definition of your favorite then my K22 with 6 inch barrel is my favorite. I have shot it more and got more enjoyment out of it then anything else I have.

Now for looks my favorite is my Nickel 27-2 with 6 inch barrel because it just is an awesome looking revolver.

I am going to choose a First Generation Colt Single Action Army, that belonged to my Grandfather. It isn't much to look at (it had been granddad working gun when he was employed as a railroad dick) but is still accurate and has a great bore.

If asking what the favorite firearm I bought for myself is that would have to be a .44 Mag that I bought in 1960.

That's kinda like asking me who do I like most-my wife or my girlfriend. I like em both but each has it's purpose and it all depends on what I'm in the mood for at any one time.:D
 
Right now, I'd have to say my Ruger 22/45 Mark III. (Hope I don't get in trouble for saying "Ruger") Got it about 3 months ago, and it's a blast to shoot. Cheap too :)

Favorite S&W is my 5" M/29-2, rifle is my pre-64 Winchester M/70 .35 Whelen with Griffin & Howe scope mount, shotgun is my Winchester M/50 Semi-auto 20 ga. with two VR barrels.
 
I ( and others I know ) believe that you should have one good shotgun, one good handgun, one good rifle and one good .22 rifle. So my answer is my mossberg 500 persuader, glock 19 ( soon to be a bowie tactical glock 19 ), Arsenal sgl20-41 Ak47 and yes my mp15-22. Although, If I had to grab just one it would be the ultra reliable Arsenal Ak47. I could drop it in a mud hole, pull it out a year later,and it would fire better!!!!!!:D
 
This one's my current favorite - a Marlin Camp Carbine .45 ACP. I've since put in a heavier recoil spring and added a cheap red dot sight. I keep it in my work ride and shoot it a couple of times a week.
