I got some stimulus money so I stimulated my gun collection. I stopped at a gun shop and found a NIB Walther Creed. Priced like a SD9VE, but I like the trigger better.
Picked up a couple of spam cans of surplus ammo for my new to me M1. My father-in-law dug out a box of armor-piercing rounds and 2 Borg Warner clips he's had stashed since Korea. Thanks Dad!
My latest, I decided to pick up a Century Arms C308. This is an interesting combination of parts... surplus CETME internals, sights, and wood stock. PTR makes the reciever, trigger housing and barrel new. Has a rail for optics. Classic had them $599, with 2 surplus CETME mags.
To complement it, I ordered 10 more mags from J&G Sales, and lucked into some Armscor .308 at a nice price (50 rd bags for $20, I got 250 for $100).
I'm looking at slings and a sight tool, and plan to stock up on cheap steel when that shows back up
Does it count if I bought a gun back? The only known stainless steel 5 shot Texas Longhorn Arms single action revolver built by Bill Grover, founder of TLA. This gun is a 45 Colt.
Reloading supplies. 1000 Keith-style cast .38 158gr SWC's from Bob's Bulk Bullets via mail order, then bought 250 Hornady .38 HBWC's and 300 .38 spl and 100 .357 mag cases, cleaning out my local Cabela's current inventory. Also a 1# jug of Universal to add to my inventory.
Some ammo after the injunction setting aside the necessity of haveing a background check to buy it here in Kalifornia and before the 9th circus issued the stay. I have all the papers necessary to order it only from some vendors, but I wanted to feel a bit free if only for a little bit.
Just some new to me N frame stocks. Maker is unknown. They look nice, but they are not quite long enough. I may trade them off for Herretts. They look good on my 29-3. Bob
