Out of all the handguns I own, there's only three that I carry.
Glock 19
S&W 3" 65-3
S&W 442 NL

Glock 23 Gen 3 with Glock Sport Combat holster and Glock polymer mag pouch (agency issued) 90% of time
Glock 27 with same holster and mag pouch (personally owned, agency approved) 10% of time
No others approved for carry with the badge. No CHP at this time. I am strongly considering getting one so I can carry my 4" M10 RB or my M29 3" RB. Revolvers are no longer allowed for off duty carry by my employer.

This is about Concealed Carry, so top 5 are:
1. Kahr K9 Elite 03 9mm
2. S&W 351 PD .22 magnum ... with Crimson Trace laser grips
3. S&W 386 NG .357 magnum ... option the CT laser grips
4. Springfield Armory XD Tactical in .45 ACP
5. Dan Wesson Model 15-2 2.5" in .357 magnum

1.S&W 325 Night Guard.45, Full and one third Moon Clips
2.Sig Sauer 1911 Ultra Carry .45
3.S&W M&P Full Size .45
4.Ruger LCR in .357 and .22LR
5.Keltec PF 9 (2 each)

1. J-frame snub. As they say, they're "5 for sure." My EDC.
2. 457. It hides well, reliable, and fits my hand.
3. Sig P228. Higher capacity, great balance, relaible.
4. CZ-82 9x18. comfortable IWB. Hi Cap. Light weight for steel. Very accurate.
5. M 66 rb. 4" .357 magnum, a great defense round. Very accurate, not much heavier than a Model 10. One day I'll get a snub version of this, then I'll carry it in warmer weather and it will move up on this list.

My latest find, the 342 is #1. The others depend on the climate & clothes.

  1. Smith & Wesson, Model 342-1, .38 +P, BD: May 2004
  2. Smith & Wesson, Model 940-1, 9mm, BD: April 1994
  3. NAA, SS, 1.5", .22 mag/.22 LR
  4. Smith & Wesson, Model CS9S, 9mm, BD: January 2006
  5. Glock, Model 23, .40 S&W, BD: June 1994
