When It Rains It Pours...Culinas That Is

What were you shooting yesterday, your Classic 6.5" ported barreled M629 or your 8 3/8" M629?

I look forward to being at the next Gainesville match in July with you guys. I hated to miss yesterday but we need this vacation badly with all the stress going on!

I was shooting my go-to steel critter killin' 629-4 PowerPort Classic.

Thanks for all the kind words folks.
Jaymoore, the way I was shooting yesterday I sure didn't need the extra struggle of a snubby barrel. I did improve on my second card so I drove home feeling better. :)
Thanks again for all the compliments.

Yah, IHMSA is good for humility. After flattening 30 straight Chickens in the May FP matches, the very first one laughed at me Saturday, just to put things in perspective. And the last bank of Turkeys? Oy!

Hence the second entry being in .22 Unlimited. Fortunately, LisaG's numbers worked for me, as I hadn't shot her Anschutz in about a year, and with different sights. Happily, her score was tops!

75Vette - I loved reading your short story there about picking the grip. I am sorry you hadn't had your coffee yet! Thank you for your kind words! It was a pleasure working with you! I am just sorry it took so long but sometimes waiting is worth it.

The grips look amazing on your model 29 snub. I wouldn't have thought it initially but I really like the dark on dark look! Really cool! You took such amazing photos too! Thank you for sharing! :)

Dang. I passed on some nice (aren't they all) Culinas for sale on eBay for my new-to-me Colt. Got Thai repro 1950s targets instead. I figured it's a shooter and I would cry if I scuffed those black walnut Culinas when ejecting...or doing anything else. Thai grips are pretty and a dime a dozen (almost).
