Since Covid-19 and the defund police movements have started, finding good guns has been difficult the past several months. I assume other parts of the country have experienced the same buying frenzies and lack of inventory, in the local gun shops. Both of my area Cabelas, have even closed their gun libraries. Two Saturdays ago I hit the "Mother Load", four at a local gun store and two at a small gun show. My area has 3 gun show promoters. The two largest ones have not had a show since February 2020. The smallest one started having events this past October. The prices were right so I went out on a limb and acquired the following: 19-3, 25-5, 27-2, 29-3, 37, 65-5 Enjoy the photos!

Thank you for the kind words, I am glad you guys enjoy the images of the revolvers. Last Saturday, I was able to pick up 5 out of the 6, after the background checks were completed. 4 of them were at the same shop that happens to have a range up stairs. The only one I did not shoot yet was the model 37. I don't know what it is about snubs but I can usually shoot them pretty well. The 19-3 was no different, hitting at point of aim consistently. The 29-3 also did well when I didn't flinch in anticipation of the 44 mag. The 65-5 has a remarkably smooth double action pull. Probably the best I've ever felt. It also shoots to point of aim, I am very happy. The 25-5 probably needs a little sight adjustment. I was shooting an inch or two low and to the left. When I held it up and right I hit were I wanted to. The 27-2 was shooting right on target for the first 3 rounds, but on the 4th the rear sight leaf broke in half and it flew off of the gun. Thank goodness it beaned me in the face and landed on the bench just in front of me. The dealer said he would make it right, so no worries here.

Lack of guns is the same here in central Georgia. The biggest shop here in town has quite a few new rifle going for ridiculous prices. Used rifle rack is just about empty except for 22s and shotguns. Pistol and revolver display cases are just about empty. I gave up on local gun shows years ago. $10 to get in and everything on the tables waaaaay over priced. I have better luck with instate online trader sites. That's how I recently acquired my 686-3 in a trade.

That's what happens when pent up demand meets opportunity. I think many of us would have tried to do the same thing. Nice haul!

NW GA here and I agree completely with both the LGS situation and the gun show issue.

OP - I am in awe of your haul. Congratulations.

There used to be a lot of used riot guns at the shows and in the shops. I haven't seen one for sale in several weeks. I went to a show in Mobile a few weeks ago and one of the vendors had a lot of nice looking Turkish made riot guns at $400.00 each. He sold out before the show was over. I've got a lot of riot guns but I won't buy one unless it has some collector interest or police markings. I wanted one of the Ohio National Guard riot guns that were for sale a few months ago but by the time I found out about it and contacted the sellers they were sold out.

At my age & my daughter could care less about my guns I need to be selling instead of buying.
