Hi:
Growing up in a Military and LEO family I was not allow to be "Wild".
The families' 1948 4 door Dodge, 1951 2 door Henry J, and 1937 4 door Phymouth was not "Chick Magnets". In High School I had a 1948 2 door Ford that fitted in with my "Square" image. Single and a "Cop" I had my own "Pad" but still was not a "Swinger"."Jimmy carrys a gun and can't get a date" rumor started by the girls that I had irritated and fought with though school years did not help. Finally those same girls started inviting me to dinner and decided that I was "Ok".
Now to the "Chick Magnet". I became the proud owner of a red 1963 Triumph Spitfire with tan leather interior.
I loved these Spitfires. I purchased a new one every two years until I went from "Single" to "Daddy" with a 9 passenger Station Wagon.

'62 F100 Unibody Custom Cab with the wrap around rear glass.A real oddball and rarer than hens teeth.
That's the one that got me married.
O.K.,Maybe it wasn't the truck but it sure wasn't my looks or bank account.

Never really had a chick magnet other than my extreme good looks, personality and lack of conceit:D Closest thing to a chick magnet car was my '52 Merc hardtop with a built engine.

Best chick magnet is not being bashful to ask em out. Though.... a 67 Camaro SS didn't hurt. Sure wish I had kept it.

Chick magnet

I asked the closest Chick I magnetized (my Wife of 20 years) what magnetized her to me. She said my sense of humor and the fact I was a DJ on a local radio station. Personally, I think it was my 76' Mazda Cosmo. Gotta love those rotary engines.

My 1971 Ferrari, definately. Girls hated my 1954 Jaguar. The Jaguar was cold in the winter, hot in the summer, no radio, loud, and most girls hated what the wind did to their hair.

Sparkling intellect, cheerful personality, and a pocketful of cash, of course. ;)

However, hasn't worked too well...rather it's worked very well...as never married. :p

Have now decided my wife hasn't been born yet...

Be safe.

Sir, one word: motorcycles. :D

Unfortunately, this powerful attractant could not overcome my unique talent for saying exactly the wrong thing. :(

Still can't figure out how I ever got married.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

The baggy eyes? No.

The goofy hair? No.

The old broken down Plymouth Duster? No.

Dead broke? No.

I think they just took pity on me.

It must have been the engaging line of cheeky chat. I always liked my cars better than the girls did, even my 1949 Mercury coupe I had in college. Girls often aren't knowledgable of what a cool car is. I recently got reaquainted with a high school girlfriend and this is the first time we talked and got to know each other. She said she liked that I rode a motorcycle and had zero body fat.

One of the bonuses of being a simple guy with modest possessions, is I don't have to wonder if I am liked merely for my stuff. My ugly house is a "flake filter"

I started saving every penny I could earn starting at about 13 years old to spend on flying lessons when I got old enough. Started taking flight training in the summer after the 10th grade and earned my private pilot's license on my 17th birthday while a Jr. In high school.

Girls that wouldn't even speak to me before would jump at the chance for a sightseeing flight around town or over their house. Took my wife flying on our first date in high school. . . though we didn't get
married until I ran into her again after college.

My 1971 Ferrari, definately. Girls hated my 1954 Jaguar. The Jaguar was cold in the winter, hot in the summer, no radio, loud, and most girls hated what the wind did to their hair.

Hopefully not too much of a thread drift but was involved in a similar occurence.

Summer of 1990, gorgeous warm night on Cape Cod, and with a stunningly hot young lady. We were headed for dinner in my 1989 Corvette ragtop when she said: "Can you please put the top up?" I truly though she was joking 'til she told me she was not. Though the evening was otherwise lovely, not being able to tolerate the wind in her hair was a deal breaker. Still is...

Be safe.
