Where are the S&W 1911's?

I've been to a lot of gun shows this year and have seen fewer than a half dozen new S&W 1911's. Just wondering if S&W has exited this line of pistols? Anyone know why the supply is so limited?

Sir, there doesn't seem to be any shortage of them at the shops and shows here. Maybe it's a regional thing?

They are a good seller. Around here, they doin't stay on the shelves long.

Maybe this is a good thing in the sense that demand is high and the quality is good enough that people keep them instead of selling or trading them.
