Recently just acquired a 27-9 and looking to replace the grips with target grips in a light birch wood. Where can I find some?

There are several outstanding custom grip makers here on the Forum (i.e. Curt Harlow, the Culinas, etc.). You could also check Altamont Grips, they make S&W stocks in many shapes and types of wood. I'm sure that more suggestions will come along shortly.

I'd recommend Culina - although they don't do checkering. Curt Harlow would normally be my recommendation, but I don't think he is taking on any new work.

Here are some examples of Culina stocks in Bubble Maple - two Target configuration and one Combat...

There are usually some on Ebay for sale. Bought plenty of different kinds over the years. Bob { factory N frame stocks can be expensive}
