Where can I get a flash hider/muzzle brake for the 15-22???

Does anyone know where I could find a flash hider/muzzle brake for the M&P 15-22???? Don't really NEED one, but the barrel just doesn't look right being bare.

I picked up an adapter for non-threaded barrels and flash hider from my gunsmith, It's held in place by 4 small hex style screws. Would be your best bet to bring it in to see if they have one at a nearby gunsmith.

Unfortunately I don't have the name, all the flash hiders and adapters he had were next to each other in his case, but not individually packaged.

Found my caliper and my barrel shows .674", so this one ought to fit with no problem. I was sold an AK style at a gunshow, but it won't fit. Should've have trusted myself!

i was looking on youtube today, and a guy posted a video of his 15-22, and it had muzzle deal on it, and it looked real good, people where asking where he got it, and he said it was for a 10/22, and he made it work for his 15-22.

I saw a guy on gunbroker.com that was selling a flash hider for the m&p 15-22 that was actually for a mini 14 that he had bored out and was held on by set screws. But it went for $80!! Anyone know where i could get something like this for cheap. Just want to make sure it's solid, I don't wan't it falling off while shooting. thanks

This should work?? So this is held on by set screws and then a regular ar15 hider would screw onto it?? Damn my order from midway just shipped yesterday, a day late and a dollar short!! I could have got one to try it out, price is reasonable. Not to sure about the reviews on midway about it. One guys flew off on the first shot!!

If you want to make sure it isn't gonna come off while shooting, just get the barrel threaded. Do it right and no worries. Correct thread is 1/2 x 28.

I just placed an order with Midway for the Scherer adapter and a flash hider. It's inexpensive enough that if I'm not satisfied I can consider having the barrel threaded at some point in time. Anxious to see what the adapter actually looks like and how it mates up with the flash hider I ordered.

Let us know how it turns out and some pics would be great. But for $6 and $6 for a hider its cheaper than I thought. I was looking at this hider on midway https://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=343064 . Looks like it would meet up with the adapter good and its cheap.

Get one for a 10/22 and go to town on it with a dremel tool! That's why I did

Yep, that's where I got the idea! It looks pretty good, except it's got a hole in the bottom of the piece, I guess that's for a sight or something on the 10/22. I will probably get my barrel threaded at some point, but this will work for now.

Granted these ideas will work, but you would be much happier if it was threaded to 1/2 X 28 and then you can get a standard birdcage flashider for 5 bucks or less, and then you can always upgrade to any other flashider you want, or put a suppressor on it if you desire. If you do have the barrel threaded make sure they turn it on a lathe instead of using a tap and die set up, I have seen many of these that look fine to the human eye but will result in a baffle strike if you try to use a can on it. just my .02!

I just put it on there for looks, and it serves my purpose just fine. I mean one day I might take the barrel off and get it threaded but that will work for now.
