Searching online for the revolver "cylinder" reamer I keep coming up with chamber reamers.

What part are you wanting to ream? Where is that part number from?

OK - I came up with a .22 Long Rifle Finish Chamber Reamer for Cylinders. Listed in Brownells, made by Dave Manson. This is the correct reamer to fix tight .22 LR chambers in a revo (any brand of gun). Brownell's lists this as "out of stock".

You might call Manson Reamers directly and see if they have any in stock, or when they will have some. 810-953-0732.

Manson is THE one to get

Even Manson is showing "backorder" at the moment. Don't trust Amazon or Flea-Bay as the vendors give different descriptions of different reamers.

IF...IF... you are reaming for "tight" cylinder charge holes in your S&W 617 then you do want the Manson 513-051-220. The "official" designation is "22LR cylinder finisher reamer". Manson does have a "rougher" reamer, and they offer a adjustable pilot. You want the solid pilot.

If you already reamed a S&W 22LR cylinder then you know all the other requirements. If not maybe some tips will help: Remove cylinder from gun. Leave extractor star in place while reaming. The Manson reamer (finisher) has a slightly larger face reamer on it that just "kisses" the chamber mouth and extractor star for the 22 LR rim. Use a padded vise (or soft jaws) and have some Tap Magic or other cutting fluid to lubricate the reamer and chambers as you go. I use a Tap handle on the reamer and slowly "ream" (cut) in one direction (clockwise). If done correctly, you do NOT get any metal chips, only metal dust, or angel hair in a your drip pan or rag or whatever you used under the rig to catch cuttings. Just go slow and easy and clean and swab out until your FIRED casings DROP in flush.

Below pics may help.

For Members of SWCA, there is (or was a couple months ago) a loaner Manson cylinder finisher reamer. floating around. Last I saw it was in North Carolina.

I've reamed several S & W 22's and again...it just makes them a lot more enjoyable at the range.
