I know, I know, It's been a while. I have a lot of catching up to do. We are up here in Texoma land now and working hard to get settled in. We're off to a pretty good start but still have much to do. Just to illustrate just HOW busy this is one of the few times I've had a chance to fire up the old laptop. I'm up early this morning and doin' "chores" and decided too take a little break and touch base with my cyber family.

I also wanted to give y'all a peek at my new ride. handy for scootin' around at the new compound. it has a stereo, touch screen control panel, turn signal indicators, and a back up camera, aaaaand, it'll do 25mph on the straight-away.

I'd like for all my friends in here to know I'm still kickin' it in the country.

Welp, time to go slop the hogs. I'll get back to ya when I can. I love and miss you all. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Funny you should bring that up. It's a good question and it all came as a shock to me too.

I went to Doug's Corner (the local golf cart store) a couple of months ago and they had dozens of electric fully reconditioned golf carts. No frills but good clean like new ones on hand. I should have bought one then.

I went back Saturday and all the had was gas golf carts. Seems like they are now in vogue.I won't have one of those maintenance heavy clunkers. Sounds like a dump truck breaking down.

The did have these Electric ones which his how I had to go to get electric . I bit the bullet. I went to get a Chevy and came home with a Cadillac. I'll just have to suffer through it.

It has the new lithium battery with double the life span and double the duration of one charge.

I didn't want to spend that much do-ra-me but I'm not complaining....

Here's the rig I use for scootin' around the ol' homestead. Not as fancy as yours. No stereo, touch screen control panel, turn signal indicators, or back-up camera, but it does okay when it comes to haulin' hay, manure, wood, tools, or whatever.

I wish. Country life seems to come with inherently more movin' around. Some of it ridin' and a lot of it walkin'.

I have always admired Wayne's work out and exercise routine but I could never do that. The good news is that now it isn't necessary. My routine begins when my feet hit the floor in the morning and it continues until I lay back down at night.

I'm still trying to figure out if this lifestyle is going to add a few more years to my life span or cut it short. But which ever way it goes I'm lovin' it.

Well, I can't say if a country lifestyle adds years to your life or cuts it short, but I can guarantee that 1) you will have less stress, 2) you won't have high blood pressure, and 3) you'll sleep good at night.
