Hi, I'm going to buy one, the question is which?

Both packages include the current standard 15-22 sport

Option 1: The sport has no iron/plastic sights but comes with a 4 MOA Red Dot and includes a soft carry bag.

Option 2: The sport has MBUS pop up sights. But no bag or optics.

Option 1 costs $30 more than option 2.

I dont need the red dot I have one like it already.

I will need a carry bag for it... so I should go Option 1 right?

Problem is I'd like to have the back up sights.

And even the basic 34" bags on Amazon are about $30 so if I go Option 2 I'm still gonna spend the difference on a bag.

Thoughts?

Option 2 is better in my opinion. I have both. The red dot could not be adjusted low enough to make point of impact match point of aim.

The Black one originally came with the red dot.

Best of luck!

Appreciate the info D Brown, so did the black one come with a M&P100 Red Dot? Thats what comes on the one I'm considering.
You'd think a factory-branded red dot would at least work.

I would go with option 2.

You already have a red dot sight you like and want to use.
You will want back up sights anyway. The ones that come with option two are about $90 by themselves.

The bag with option 1 is nothing special, There are dozens of them for sale for cheap on Amazon, Brownells, Midway USA and Optics Planet.

I think option two is the better buy!

Option 2 because my buddy just bought the combo and the reddot is junk wont stay zeroed at all you can snag a case for 30$ or less.

I appreciate the responses and the advice. I went ahead and "pulled the trigger" on option 2.

BTW Palmetto State Armory has both options at this time. One is a daily deal.

Regards
Max

It came with the MP-100 Red & Green Dot Optical Sight and M&P Duty Series Gun Case - 34".

Both products, Dot Sight and Case, appear to be of high quality, but as I stated in post two, the dot doesn't have the adjustment range to get on target. Perhaps it's a design flaw, or it may just be the unit I got. I can only go by personal experience.

Here it is. I bought the bag separate from Amazon. The red dot is a basic 4 moa from UTG. The target is 25 rounds at 25yds with the MBUS (no red dot - at 25 yds the dot looks huge). This thing is a blast!

Congrats on the new rifle. They are a blast to shoot.

So I've added a few low buck goodies to my 15-22... A UTG Red Dot... A CVLife scope and a UTG bipod. Plus I picked up some more mags (from mkamer)... also a McFadden Lightning Loader. I think next I'll buy some land for my own range :D I've owned it close to a month and have approx 2,100 rounds thru it.
