l have a chance to acquire one of two 29-2 44 magnums . 0ne is a 6'' nickel. The other a 6 1/2'' blue model. Both are in virtually the same condition (fine) and both have come with presentation cases/papers/tools. Serial numbers are reasonably close also. The nickel model does have a smooth target trigger and target grips. There is no chance l can get both.l just get first choice..Just need a little help in deciding which

thanks

Personally, I like blued revolvers better. What stocks does it come with?

There are fewer of the 6" nickel guns around as they were only made for 2-3 years in the late 70s and early 1980s... That said I also would choose the 6.5" blue... Had a 1973 vintage gun back then and shot it for 7 years before selling it...

I think the 6 1/2" guns just look and shoot better. If you are going to shoot it, and the front sight is nickel, it tends to wash out in the sunlight. The red front sight might help some, though.

Blue !!!
I am very happy to say I sold my last nickel gun and won`t have another.
It seems no matter how careful one is taking care of it the nickel gets damaged and there is no good way to mend it, so for me it`s either blue or stainless.

I would buy the one that I wanted the most, that is, if I were you! In my personal circumstance, during that era, a 6.5 is the only one that I don't have, so it would be a no brainer. Good luck with your choice. They are both nice guns. My 6" 29s!

Entirely a personal decision. One is not better than the other but I would go with the blued gun myself.
