Which are more durable 357s - k frames or modern J frames

Two words, well three, Magnum N Frame. For heavy shooting. Ccw carry L frame. K frame 38 special.

Ruger security six 357 24/7.

i shoot a lot of 357's out of my 60-14 and 60-15 pro. I think if you shoot them often they are Very accurate little guns. and my hands has never hurt after shooting 357's. but im a blue collar worker, my hands get abused everyday.

All modern j-frames are not created equal. I have no desire to shoot magnums from a scandium j-frame or even my wife's steel framed Ladysmith, but have no problem carrying and shooting mid-range magnums like the 125 grain Golden Sabers from my full-lugged, three-inch 60-15 with closed back wooden grips. When hiking the Rockies, I even carry 180 grain Buffalo Bore hardcast in it. Not really that bad to shoot.

I have fired thousands of 357s in K frames with no ill effect that know of. I have fired dozens of 357s in J frames and don't actually enjoy it that much. Probably will get to thousands fired in J frames!

Check your end shake. Very common to increase in K's with lots of Magnums.
