Which belt?

I'm in the market for a new gun belt. I'm looking for something stitched or has a steel core. What do you all have first hand experience with that you can suggest?

Right now I'm looking at 30dollargunbelt and Crossbreed.

FYI: I am NOT interested in any synthetic, nylon, Kore, NextBelt, or the like belts. I'm only interested in leather. They aren't my cup of tea.

Up for sale are two steel core gun belts made by Bullhide belts. Both are size 48 and are in as new condition. One is 1.5" wide and the other is 1.75" wide. You can tell the condition by the lack of wear and/or deformation of the buckle holes.

Your best bang-for-the-buck is going to be Crossbreed Seconds - that will let you try out their belts much cheaper than one of their regular priced belts.

I really like Core Essentials belts.

I've wearing the Dalteck Force belt for years. It is a heavy duty belt and one of the features I like is the 3/4" hole spacing, and numerous styles.

I’ve used Milt Sparks and Del Fatti Gun belts exclusively for the last 40 years. They are custom made belts so you can get them with virtually any features you want. They are expensive but worth the price and the time it takes to have them built. They aren’t off the rack belts.

BullhideBelts.com, "The Norris", 1.5" max. thickness, stitched leather, steel core. Might want to check them out, they have a variety of options, also synthetic ..... their belts hold forever.

My favorite are Bianchi Leather Gun Belts ...
Plenty of styles and colors to choose from and they last for years . The Bianchi B9 Fancy Stitch Reversable is my everyday wear belt and stiff enough to carry an IWB holster .

30 dollar gun belt is a quality product-I’ve ran their steel core for years. Highly recommend

I have Mitch Rosen, Kramer, Beltman, and El Paso Saddlery 1.5” leather belts, and last year bought a KORE “Tactical Gun Belt.”

I find the EPS the best looking (it is carved), and the other three leather belts equally supportive and comfortable. The Kore is a 1.5” stiff, fabric belt with a ratcheting buckle. I like it for training classes but prefer the leather belts for daily wear.

Beltman is best value of the four leather belts. Kramer probably my favorite.

Why do you prefer leather for daily wear? It's silly, but I just don't like pairing a nice leather holster with a plastic nylon belt. Hearing all of the raving reviews, I'm starting to think about going with Kore.

Well Armed, I agree with you: I don’t like putting a leather holster on a nylon belt either. I also think that leather, while plenty stiff, is more comfortable … but that may be more of a psychological impression than a physical one.

(My training recently has been with kydex holsters and semi autos, also, which pair nicely with the KORE.)

I have a thirty year old EPS belt that is a daily wear belt. It has been sweat soaked god only knows how many times, scratched up a bunch and is still in great shape. It will likely out live me.

Give look to Hanks Belts - Their “everyday belt”.
Very supportive of holstered gun. I usually wear a 1.25 inch belt and have a couple from DeSantis and a Kramer. But for the last year I’ve been wearing a bridle leather belt I got in the Amish country in PA for $30. Shows no signs of wear. I carry up to a full size 1911 on it.

Look at Kramer Leather double thick stitched Horse Hide. If there is a better belt out here I have never seen it.

I own three or four $30 Dollar steel lined belts and have been more than satisfied with them, The reason I have more than one is they are different lengths and colors. If the 1 1/4" width was still available I would have five or six!

I’ll throw in another vote for Mean Gene Leather, particularly the Renegade Belt. It’s reinforced and has all the adjustability of a nylon belt, but is high quality leather. MGL makes traditional belts as well if that’s what you want. Really outstanding craftsmanship.

A cheaper and very serviceable alternative is Aker Leather’s reinforced gun belts. Good quality leather and polymer reinforced.

My only issue with traditional belts is that I’m perpetually between notches. One is too tight and the other too loose. I pretty much use only nylon or my MGL belt these days because of their adjustability.

I bought a Milt Sparks belt probably 20 years ago. Not double thick. Not uncomfortable. Worked great with Milt Sparks holsters. Still in great shape. Milt Sparks says their current wait time is 40 weeks.

I spent money on the Amish bridle belt. I bought it in WPA five years ago. No stretch or fray or issue at all. I liked it so much I bought one for my son and grandson. The Amish even measured and cut and drilled to fit their waist size. 30.00 each. Best belt I have ever used.

I wear this Milt Sparks belt almost every day.
It’s a gun belt but also just a great belt to wear. I have had it a long time and it still looks almost new. Very high quality, although at my age now the wait time might be a little too long.

Kore's is awesome. I have the tactical belt and not only is it stiff enough for the job but you can click adjust it on your body in 1/4" increments.

I have two Hank's Belts. I have had them for years. 1 1/2" Thick, durable, nice- looking, and not high priced...about $60, They were a great improvement over the thin 1 1/4" belt I used before I got them, although I carried my 586 on it with comfort. They are listed on eBay.
