Can anyone give me some pointers or lead me in the right direction as to what is a good and inexpensive bi-pod for the 15-22's? I heard it has to be a certain height to account for the larger 25 round magazine. Please include links or pics of your own. Thanks!

I bought mine last week from amazon. Its. UTG tactical bipod I think its called? It was like $25shipped to door

BP = do you have like a model number or pics of it on? Does it clear the magazine?

do you all have pics of this installed on yours? Pic of it on the bipod, and pic of it folded up?

I have a winchester bipod on mine.. got ot at wm for $13.. and got a harris bipod adaptor from a diff local store for $19..
I had the bipod before the 15-22.. i like the adaptor so i can run a sling when im critter hunting an leave the bipod at home

I have a Harris swivel bipod 9-13 in superb. the cheap copies just don't last

I currently use this extendable grip/bipod combination. It seems sturdy enough, and I like that it grips the rail fairly quickly and the legs retract to make a front grip. I prefer the design of this quick release, folding grip/bipod, because, well, it's quick release, and it folds up. I was going to get that and leave it in place on my gun in its case, folded, but realized the only place my fairly large scope fits is /under/ my gun on the quad-rail, with the red dot mounted on the top (both QR), so I keep the first bipod in one of the mag pouches. I know neither of these is industrial or military quality, but they clear the mags and hold the gun as still as they need to.

What he just said. I use my Harris (non-swivel) on my 15-22, 10/22, 77/22, Mini-14 and Remington 700 Mountain Rifle.

When I need a bipod, I need something SOLID, not a $20 pair of thin plastic sticks. :)

i have the same one as kbak67, shipping to me here in VA was about $10 if i remember right. it works great and is very stable.

i started off with a scope/bipod setup at my 15yd indoor range. it was cool but ended up getting boring quick so i pulled the scope/bipod off for outdoor longer ranges and went with a vertical grip/red dot setup for indoor.

ive tried the following:

utg tactical/sniper 9-11" - light and simple, its what i ended up keeping for sitting at the outdoor range.

ebay grip pod knockoff - tough and heavy duty, springs were a bit stiff, just seemed to be doing 2 things at once.

caldwell pivot 13-23" with promag weaver stud adapater - long enough for me to stand at my indoor range with its low table, pivot was cool but didnt allow the gun to stay 100% still, overall just too much hanging off the end of the gun.

FWIW, my Harris bipod does NOT stay on any rifle on a full time basis. I put it on one of them only when I am shooting from the bench.
