I think it comes down to the gun, on the .45's side.
I have a Springfield 1911 that digests any stupid thing I feed it. But I also load for a G30 that utterly rejects anything that's not loaded to factory levels. And an XDS that's picky even among which 230 LRNs it's given.
.44 Spl should be a cinch, but so should most .45s (in theory).
