Comptac MTAC. It's a good holster. I'm waiting for Milt Sparks to start making the Criterion for the Shield. I have one of those for my G19 and it's the finest IWB holster I know of.
Check out Garrett industries at Garrett Industries, LLC Designers/Manufacturers of Custom Kydex and Leather Holsters and Tactical Gear I have a GX made by them that is leather lined kydex front and leather back .. don't even know your wearing it .. The GX can be worn from 1 to 5:30 .. other models also .. have one for my 40c and just ordered another GX for the new Sig Sauer P238 HD I just bought .. don't have the Sig or the holster for it but have worn the 40c for almost a year now ..
Can post a picture if you would like ..
What I like about the leather lined kydex it doesn't mar the finish of the pistol ..
I have had this N8 for over a year.
It looks bulky but is so comfortable you forget you are wearing it! It uses a single clip mount which makes it very easy to put on. The other one in the picture is for a Ruger LC.
I got an alien gear tuck 3.0 for my MP fs and my shield. I get my shield this week. The fs fits great in the holster and is pretty comfortable for a fs.
I'm using an SHTF Gear hybrid, which is great. It's also the only company I could find that made one to fit the Shield with an ArmaLaser TR4 laser sight. I have a Sneaky Pete on order, which is OWB but still concealed. I know a guy who says no one had ever given his second look. It looks like a case for a cell phone or small tablet. http://www.sneakypeteholsters.com/template/Styles/images/IndexImage5.png
I have a N82 Tactical Pro too. I immediately felt the twist and pull requirement would be like having a manual safety on a SD pistol.
In a very stressful situation all your instincts are__point and pull the trigger. In most (and it can only take one) cases the safety remains on. (Been there) That twisting motion won't happen either.
My Dremel took out the center of the trigger area__ridge still there for the trigger but__no twist required.
Most threats are apt to happen at garlic breath distance and two shots off if you're lucky.
Under a T-shirt in hot weather, that's a comfortable carry.
G'luck and enjoy shooting.
One more fan of the N82 pro (I have no problem with the twist retention system they use, I have one for my FS .40 and Love it) I also am a big fan of the StealthGear Onyx.
these are easily the 2 most comfortable holsters I've tried so far.
I will be getting my shield in a month or so and decided on this rig. I usually go with straight leather but with the striker fired guns I like kydex, but not full kydex inside my pants. The double clip rigs seem like a lot of extra real estate for such a small gun so I am going with the single point clip. Should be fine.
