Which J Frames Weigh in at 15 ounces?

The poly and steel .38 Bodyguard that I own shoots well with .38s. I haven't tried any +P loads in it and will probably not do so. The .38s will do the trick. I have not shot any of the steel Bodyguards for comparison. My normal pistols are the .45 acp and Model 27 Smith in .357.

My wife expressed a desire to learn to shoot after 40 years of marriage and she wanted to try the polymer weapon with a built in laser. I've taken the grip off of the weapon and replaced it with a Hogue grip designed for the pistol and found it more comfortable to shoot than with the original grip. I think you're looking at the future with this pistol and the Ruger LCR variants.

My 442-1 loaded with 158's and Uncle Mike's Boot Grip weighs 17 3/8 ounces. Unloaded gun weight is like dry weight on motorcycles, useless info.

Regular ammo or +P is not much difference to shoot, it's a handful in an Airweight either way.

I didn't think my Model 638 Airweight would be a handful when shooting +P ammo but for me it is. I actually had screwed up my right hand with numbness in my thumb and first two fingers lingering for a while after shooting a hundred rounds of +P ammo. Even shooting regular 38 spl ammo was a chore with a lightweight revolver. Maybe I'm just not used to it right now. I like the size and weight of the Model 638 though.
