Which primary arms red dot?

Guys sorry to resurrect, but does anyone know if I were to buy the Primary Arms Micro Dot for my 15-22pistol would it require a riser? I will not be using it to co-witness through the iron sights. I want to use it as the primary and only sight mounted on the pistol.

So will it mount straight on or do I need a mount/riser kit? And if I do need one what is a mount you would recommend that is smallest possible?

You won't need a riser. It will mount right on. Here's a Primary Arms MicroDot on my Ruger pistol.

The only thing I would suggest is to get the one with the removable base (as is the one in the pic). That way if you ever wish to co-witness on an AR platform you can get a riser that is specifically designed for that optic.

After all the reading I have done I am choosing the M4 red dot with the killflash option.....my only question is those who bought these red dots.....are they only availiable from the primary arms site exclusively?

pretty much but why would u go else where.

Marshal and his guys are great.

i would not want to go anywhere else.

It will be the best red dot your money can buy at that price point..

i have an m3 and a m4 and ready to buy 2x of the micro dots

I agree with MobileCommand. If PA has the optic you want then I would buy it from them. Their customer service is top shelf. That said, rrages.com also has a reputation for great customer service and have a wide selection of optics.

Has anyone here ever mounted a PA red dot on an AR-15 (.223)?

If so, did it hold up?

There are probably more PA red dots mounted on AR-15s than on 15-22s. Reviews are high at AR15.com.
