Does anyone know if SKU 13618 has the older "I" sear block or the newer "R" sear block? The M&P M2.0 Metal comes with an "R" but I'm wondering if other pistols, and this one in particular, do as well.

13618 is an M&P M2.0 full size with 5" barrel, 17 round 9mm, optic ready, suppressor height night sights, sights, and new flat trigger.

If the one I bought has an "I" sear block I'll replace it with an "R" sear block.

Are you referring to the sear itself or some other part?

Here's the "competition" sear with the "R". Don't recall ever seeing one with an "I".

That's right, I'm referring to the sear itself.

I took another look at my parts ...

The original sear from my M&P M2.0 SKU 11828 is unmarked.

The M&P M2.0 Metal SKU 13194 sear is marked with an "I". See photo below.

I don't remember where/how I knew about the "R" marked sear, probably read about it here and then got confused. LOL.

In any event, does the SKU 13618 have a blank, "I", or "R" marked sear? It's supposed to be an LEO pistol so maybe it won't be an "R" but it would be nice if it was an "I". If not, I'll buy another "I".

Thanks @tiribulus for the link. I'm guessing the "I" is the newer one. Perhaps redesigned for the new style trigger?

The "R" marked one has been out for a while and came in the Performance Center M&Ps. I bought a couple of 2.0 sear housings back in 2019 and they came with the "R".

You can look at MGW for the 2.0 sear housing and see the "R" on the sear.

The R marked sear is the old PC sear that came in the gun. The I marked sear is from the metal M&P.

The biggest difference is the surface that contacts the striker is flat on the new one. (if you look closely)

FWIW, my brand new M&P SKU 13618, which I was finally able to pick up today, has an "R" marked sear. Now I need to file the rebate paperwork.
