I recently put a set of 10-8 sights on my 45FS. I went with a fiber optic front as the tritiums were out of stock and I'd never spent any time with FOs. The 10-8s have three "bridges" or whatever you'd call them supporting the FO. I initially put about 600 rounds thru my pistol trying out the new sights. So far I still have the original insert in place. I'm pushing 50 and I really like the way my eyes are drawn to the red insert when I present the pistol. This is a duty pistol so I'm watching what I do with it. I've grown comfortable having tritium sights on guns, at least on the front, however, when using hand held or weapons lights in low light conditions, I've noticed that the backwash of light cancels out the glow of the tritium, silouetting the sights, thus giving you a standard iron sight picture. If the 10-8 FO version continues to work, I may not miss tritium. They seem pretty durable. In daylight shooting, I am getting my sights on target a lot faster.
Also take a look at Heinies, even though they don't offer an FO option.
