I have a metal "baffle" supplied with my Hornady powder measure. It is the 'stand alone' manual unit, I use with the single stage L-N-L press.

My question is, does the metal crease in the center point up or down. Down being as in the letter "Vee".

Thanks in advance.

Jon, think so. Do you know where to place the baffle? I've heard everything from 1/4 to 1/3 the way up to the middle.

Actually, it depends on how much column weight you want feeding the adjustable measurer and how often you want to refill the hopper. Many times the powder will dictate the height of the column.

I thought it just dropped to the bottom and you poured the powder over it. Isn't it just supposed to keep the weight the same from a full measure until it runs low? What am I missing?

I don't think you are missing anything. The info that came with my Hornady and RCBS gear agrees with you.

Further thought would beg to ask how you even prop it up in any other place? Even if you bend it a little you would scrape the sides up pretty bad after a while.
