While washing dishes, the stone cemented to my NCAA championship ring popped out and down he drain pipe. A few days later, I disassembled the pipe to see whether the stone was trapped at the bend. It wasn't.

I talked with the ring manufacturer - the stone can be replaced with an identical stone at no cost other than shipping - and asked whether the dark blue glass stone could be replaced at additional cost with a synthetic sapphire or star sapphire. The stone cannot be upgraded. At the time the ring(s) were received, I could not afford a more desirable stone; now I can.

I seek a jeweler or craftsman who can replace my missing stone with a synthetic sapphire or star sapphire.

Would need to have the ring in hand to determine the exact size of the stone. Seems odd to me that the stone was only "cemented" in, should have been a bezel holding it to the ring. Synthetic sapphires are easy to get. Star sapphires not so much so. The once popular "Linde" star sapphires are no longer made.

Any decent bench jeweler can do this. NOT the "mall" jeweler.

If the ring doesn't have a bezel send it back to the mfg for the free one.

There was an older gent in Butte that did some great work on my wifes' rings. Just a door in a wall with no showroom, typical Butte business. PM for more info.
