I hate not having the sheet and blankets tucked in at the foot of the bed. I like pulling the covers nice and taut so they're not a wrinkled blob laying on me, and if they're not tucked they just keep coming.
I also love having a heated mattress pad, as does my wife. It's wonderful to turn it on high a few hours before bedtime and have a nice cozy, warm bed to slip into when it's cold, instead of freezing sheets. I go ahead and turn it down to low when I go to bed but my wife likes leaving her side on pretty high. A heated mattress pad is much better than an electric blanket because you don't feel all the wires, and having the heat come from below just feels more natural.
