I have gotten an invitation to join different class-action lawsuits once or twice a year, usually against various computer chip and battery manufacturers for price-fixing. I always sign up, and I always wind up within a year or so with a check - usually between $60 - $300. About five years after we built our new retirement home in 2000 we were invited to join a class-action lawsuit against the Title Company that handled our closing for using kickbacks, bribes, and unfair fees to solicit business from builders, and that one paid us $3400.00!
