Who else had strange mix mutt dog

I don't have a picture to post right now but we had a dog that was part Schnauzer and part sheep dog.
I don't know which parent was mother or father but I always got a laugh when I thought about a little schnauzer mating a female sheep dog.

my best dog was my lorelei, who died when she was only 13.
she was certainly mixed, but around here she was part of a recognized breed, COW DOG.
they are not big, just shy of medium size, around 30 lbs.
they tend to be tan, but not always.
they mostly just laze around the yard, but if you move cattle, they will be right there, nipping at a lagging cow's heels.
they don't get trained for this, they just do it.
sometimes they get kicked, but the ext day are ready to work again.
we think of them as a breed, but they are not bred.
they have sex with anyone around.
pups are welcome, because their good traits are passed down,
i bet some of you know these cow dogs.

My wife is friends with a s Indiana breeder who has combined a tiny toy poodle with a pekinese and the the resulting peekapoo with a maltese. so basically a designer mutt and they call them ocherese. Some 2nd rate kennel club has recognized the breed so you can get papers. My wife was on the board for building the new county jail about 15 years ago. The contractor's mother breeds ocherese and they gave my wife pick of the littler. We've had Barney over 14 years and he's still going strong and is a once in a lifetime dog.

He was in his prime in the pic. Old and gray now, like me. :)
