Who ever said you can never have too much ammo -

The only time you can have too much ammo is when you're drowning or on fire.

Carry twice as much ammo as you think you'll need, then triple that. That will be at most half as much ammo as you'll actually want in a firefight.

My kids still talk about how much of a list the 26' U-Haul truck had when we moved. Seems I put all the ammo on one side...

We didn't go over the passes very fast, either. By the end of the day I was an hour behind everybody else.

When the time comes, I'm not looking forward to locating much less moving all the ammo I've got stashed around here. I lost count somewhere around 4,500 assorted rounds. The silly thing is, I keep buying more of it.

I've decided if there is some sort of fire in the basement, I'm getting the hell out of the area, calling the F.D., then waiting for the "cook-off.

Having a son living in the same town and a daughter that shoots and her hubby in town also, not to mention their neighbors that found out I reload I tend to keep a pretty good stock in the shed/loading room. Wife walked in the other day while I was loading a few and said, "you have 5 shelves of bullets and powder". I said, "no I don't, you missed one under the bench". Sleeping out there wasn't all that bad.

I would have to count what I have but I'm guessing somewhere between 150,000 and 250,000, all depends on how much 22 I have. Could be 100,000 in 22. Should be double or triple that. I shoot 1000 rounds a month so it's less than 2 years worth. Time to order more.

If you have 100,000 Rounds, then you have over eight years worth of ammunition. You need to shoot faster.

Four wooden wildlife boxes full of .22, 9mm, 45. and 45LC, w 2 boxes of 30-40 Krag. Heavy as sin-and I'm no 90# weakling either. Oh and working on filling two shoe-boxes full of the stuff as well-though ive not bought any ammo for about 8 months now.:o

The Army showed some practicality in having either 2 cal 50 ammo cans or 4 cal 30 cans to a wirebound crate. On the other hand, I was my grandsons' age when I was tossing them about with regularity.

Which is a reflection of the reality that the military, especially anything in or related to the combat arms, is a youngster's world.

Good grief!! I took long peeks (rather, lovingly stares) into both of my BiLs safes last night, and I THOUGHT I had ammo?? Nuff said for now. ........................ Slowly wimpers awayyyyyyyyyyyy...................

Well, I got everything that were loose boxes packed up and the full cases are staying where they are for now. I have a bad knee right now which makes any standing/walking almost impossible, got an infection from the gel injection (synvisk) and of course I can't get back into the Dr's office because he's not available, guess they don't care about your health and the worst part of it to me is it's my good knee out of the 2. Did I mention I hate moving ? Hopefully last move in my lifetime.
