I am unable to see the front sight on my M&P 2.0 clearly.
I have a Dawson sight on my Walther and I can see that so I want to duplicate.
Did you do the install yourself or send the gun to Dawson?

I have installed a couple Dawson front sights on my 2.0C. I know a few of the guys in our unit that have installed the full sets. Of course, we install a LOT of sights, so it's not the same as someone who hasn't done it very much.

All that said, I really like Dawson sights, but they usually come large and need filing to get them where they fit tight but not too tight. The first set I did went great... judicious filing of the bottom of the sight dovetail allowed it to fit snug (general rule is once the sight will slide in about 1/4 TO 1/3 of the way then start drifting it in). Problem was the pistol still shot high. I ordered a new front sight and that corrected the elevation issue, but I took just a hair too much off the bottom of the sight and drawing from the holster caused the sight to drift. My fault.

So... I installed factory sights again because I can be very stupid.

I have Dawson sights on several other guns, most of which I installed myself with great results. That said, if you're not pretty experienced with gun stuff and a file (and/or willing to re-order when you mess it up... like me), I'd send it to Dawson. I'm sure they'll do it right.

I installed Dawson sights on two 1.0 M&Ps. Had no problems, but did buy 3/8 brass rod and made my own punch. This gave me a much larger surface contact to the sight, compared to a regular punch. Watched their video several times, and took my time.

I planned on buying a sight pusher, but Dawson recommended using a punch. I líked the formed end of my hand-made puch much better than a the small round end of a standard punch.

I have installed their FO front sight on 3 Berettas. Brass drift and hammer. They include a small aluminum drift that is too soft for me. They also include a block that you put inside the slide so it doesn't get pinched if you put it in a vice. Sizing it to fit is just like SoCalDep said. You have to get it to go in reasonably easy because you can only push on the end of the part that goes into the dovetail. If your drift slips and contacts the area where the FO resides, you may ruin the sight. I haven't looked at their listing for your pistol but they offer several widths and heights for Berettas.

I have installed Dawson FO front sights on all of my M&P pistols (5) and 2 of my 3 Shields (the 3rd will get one soon).

The first few sets I used punches (brass and the Dawson aluminum).

I now use a MGW Sight Pro.

As has been mentioned, the sights are oversized and need to be fitted to your pistol's dovetail.

Be sure to take metal off the sight a little at a time and retry the fit. Trust me, going slow is a lot better than ruining a sight.

I always use a little Loctite 620 high temperature retaining compound on the front sight (recommended by Dawson).
