I'm reading a magazine interview with conservative commentator Sean Hannity. Never heard him on radio or TV, but I like what he says in the magazine. Among other things, he made very strong statements about gun ownership and said that he owns guns and thinks that armed guards belong in schools. Says that if politicians have armed protection, so should others. (Including you and me.)

The liberal interviewer tried to shake him, but Hannity was firm and seemed very sincere.

I don't know much about him and was surprised to learn that he wasn't always a guy with a $100 million broadcasting contract. He grew up poor and washed dishes for a living for years. New Yorker, but a pro-gunner.

Aways good to see a celeb stand up for what's right and admit that he owns guns and thinks you should be able to, too. That's rare for someone in the media. (If indeed he is technically part of the "news media".)

I may have to look up when he's on and listen. He makes a lot of sense in this interview.

Sean Hannity is well worth watching on TV, listening to on Radio and reading in print. I have more respect for his method of delivering the conservative message than for Rush Limbaugh's. Sean is associated with FOX NEWS Broadcasting. .......... Big Cholla

Thanks for the schedule info. I don't watch Fox News, but will give him a try.

If anyone wants to read the magazine article, he's the Playboy Interview for July/August. (Combined issue.) The gun comments are on page 194. Even says that he collects guns.

I can't think when I saw another major public figure be so firm in commenting on gun rights. Well, not since Charlton Heston...

He's a big 2A guy and a hardcore conservative (obviously a man after my own heart). He's genuine, humble and very likable.

I always agree with his viewpoint but not always with the presentation. He's over the top a bit too often for me. I sometimes feel like his message is overshadowed by the theatrics and drama. If you like Rush and Savage you'll enjoy his radio and TV shows.

He's on the tube most nights at camp Kozmic!

I listen to him every day and have for the last 15 years at least. He has been spot on at least 95% of the time. What I dont like is about 3 times a week listening to his past jobs resume! It`s the same as hearing your folks tell you a thousand times how hard they had it. Still, we have to remember that there is new younger listeners that havent heard it all before. If hannity and others didnt harp on the left`s sins, who would? It would be letting the left have free reign completly. As it is, they seem to be winning. Someone has to stand in their way and hannity is the absolute biggest one standing in their way. God bless him!

I am a conservative, big time. But Hannity, I believe, doesn't help our cause. I agree with Merrill, I have heard his resume' too many times. Basically he is "preaching to the choir." I don't believe he posesses the ability to convert (none of them are listening too him anyway) many to my way of thinking on current issues. When Rush is over, Hannity comes on, I tune out. Just my 2Cents.

Sorry, I think talk radio of every stripe and kind is an abomination. Political "preaching to the choir" or sports nuts raving endlessly about the hot high school recruiting prospects or what coach or manager needs to be horsewhipped--I won't listen to any of it. I'll read or watch documentary (not commentary) TV or listen to most any kind of good music or write ridiculous stuff.

It's all a waste of my diminishing time. At my age I have better things to do, like hang out here. ;)

Well, the good thing about him expressing pro 2A views in that interview is that he WILL reach some who aren't in the choir.

Listen to him for 2 weeks Texas Star and then get back to us on his effectiveness. Listening to him whine is almost fingernails on the blackboard. And I'm in the choir.

I agree with him but I don't watch or listen. I listen to Rush when I can and I usually listen to Mark Levin's podcast while I go to sleep.

Unfortunatly, its "style" that gets and holds listeners. Hannity is as close to the gospel truth as you can get politicaly wise. Even with me amoung probley his most faithful I roll my eyes when I have to listen yet once again to his resume.
That said, if not him, who? Who is going to be out there pointing out the socialist, communist sins the left is habitualy trying ever day? Should we all just roll over and play dead and let them totaly have their way unchallanged?
Thats exactly what the left wants more than anything else on this earth is to go ahead with their adjenda unchallanged, right? He and others probley isnt going to stop them cold in their tracks, but I am sure it slows them down some. Probley the biggest thing I hate is political correctness. Its thee main factor in this country turning us socalist. Thank God for hannity and the small handfull like him.
