While the VZ grips are nice looking , they are made for right handed shooters.
Look on there web site at the J frame boot grips and you will see how the left piece of the grip is shaped different from the right piece.G10 and micarta are two different animals, G10 is stronger. I have VZs on two different semis and like them a lot. It's not clear what you mean by "made for right handed shooters". Myself I've not ever seen any revolver grips that were "handed". Certainly not for a J-Frame.

If you mean the scallop at the top of the left grip, that is to provide clearance for loading, unloading, and possibly a speedloader...
I too am a lefty and most gunmakers just don't get it.
