micarta

I believe micarta and G10 are one and the same. If thats what you are looking for ,VZ grips offers a few choices.

While the VZ grips are nice looking , they are made for right handed shooters.

G10 and micarta are two different animals, G10 is stronger. I have VZs on two different semis and like them a lot. It's not clear what you mean by "made for right handed shooters". Myself I've not ever seen any revolver grips that were "handed". Certainly not for a J-Frame.

Look on there web site at the J frame boot grips and you will see how the left piece of the grip is shaped different from the right piece.

If you mean the scallop at the top of the left grip, that is to provide clearance for loading, unloading, and possibly a speedloader...

I too am a lefty and most gunmakers just don't get it.

It's true. you need to have the left grip panel relieved for loading, and especially for speedloader use.

Don Collins does grips in all sorts of materials, including Micarta.

Here are a couple of mine wearing black Corian.
